Description
A relatively small mosasaur that lived during the Santonian and Campanian epochs of the Late Cretaceous. Fossils of this animal have been uncovered in the South and Southeast portions of the U.S. Clidastes was most likely a predator of fish and squid, while it was likely preyed upon itself by larger mosasaurs and large sharks.

mosasaurs were the dinosaur forms of whales which is what scientist that study fossils (maybe like paleoligists idk if thats how u spell it), an im pretty sure they were bigger then megaladons
