The Emperor Swiftlet.  Another one of 's creatures from his Sheatheria project. 

The Emperor Swiftlet is another type of large, highly derived volant ornithopod, only distantly related to griffons like Lucifer's Cockatrice.  They are the Swiftlets (which bare no relation to the Swiftlets of the Apodidae family in our world); azhdarchid-like animals that have a variety of forms, from smaller frugivores, to enormous predators like the Emperor Swiftlet shown here, which can stand up to 24 feet in height, and develop a wingspan of up to 52 ft in length!  Swiftlets are known for their polydactyl digits and their unusual limb configuration; with the forelimbs used for walking and (in volant forms) flying, while the hind limbs are used either for manipulation or are totally vestigial (sometimes the case in flightless species).
